“I think I’ve got quite a lot of crying waiting inside me and most of the time I manage to keep it there but if I see someone else being sad I’m undone, just like that, I literally can’t stop it.”

I was able to read this for free thanks to Net Galley, although that does not affect my opinion of the actual book. I was drawn to this book based off of its description (swipe to read it) and it was a fun read. Reading in both the point of views of the three women in their seventies and a girl the age of seventeen was different for me. I found it amusing how the author was able to write it (in a good way)! The only thing that really confused me about it was that while Meg’s and Grace’s view were in first person, the other two were in third person limited. Other than that, I liked the way this was written, all of the details and the descriptions given, the dark humor of it all. I loved the diversity of the characters. And the ending!!!

“Life isn’t a clever novel plotted backwards. We do what we can with what we’ve got, that’s all.”
