I read the description differently and because of that, I wasn’t expecting the reason why Max was missing and by the end of chapter one, I figured it out and it broke my heart. I wanted to cry because this is something that people have done, something that I have seen in the news and it’s just heartbreaking. It’s intense and the tragedy begins almost immediately after you begin to read it. It’s triggering, gut wrenching. As the book continued, so did the plot twists and I was shocked. If you love mysteries and legal thrillers, I highly recommend this book.
