Trying Is Better Than Nothing At All

I used to write all the time,

But the past year or so

My mind has been elsewhere

And I can’t seem to get it back to where it was before.

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been so busy,

Or maybe because I’m so much happier ,

So I don’t have to distract myself with a pencil and paper,

But I miss it.

I’m trying to write again,

That’s for sure,

Yet all of my words seem so dull,

As if it’s all been said before.

I just want you to know,

That I am trying,

And it may not be great,

But it’s happening again.
